Overview
To profile grind accurately from knife to knife, a method of dressing the grinding wheel precisely as it wears is essential. Foley-United's Model 746 addresses this problem with a built-in, easy to use precision dressing system.

The exclusive Micro Precision Dressing System (MPDS) features:

• Using a dial indicator and a simple set-up block, the diamond is always set at the perfect radius desired to be ground to match the stylus pin desired.
• There are dresser locks at 45 and 90 degrees.
• Sealed ball bearings at all pivot points assure fluid movement of the dresser.
• Retractable hydro-tooth rest blades help position the dresser at the correct dressing point. This assures that regardless of wheel wear, it can be precision dressed to maintain the exact knife bevel and pattern.

The Precision Stylus Bar lets the operator set the stylus so it automatically remains square and perpendicular to the template, even when changing from one stylus size to another:

• A stylus bar lock permits the operator to make major bar adjustments rapidly.
• A backlash-free micro adjustment stylus bar assures the ability to set and maintain exact specifications.
